Constructed Selves

Constructed Selves examines the ways identity is formed between internal experience and the conditions imposed from outside. The works consider perception, expectation and self-image as unstable forces, shaped through encounters with social structures, cultural references and the gaze of others. Rather than presenting identity as something fixed, the body of work approaches it as something continually negotiated, adjusted and reconstructed.
